im on page 7 of my new book

i started it on feb 14, happy vdayyyyy. yeah. haha. so 7 pages in 9 days, not bad, i like to do one a day, but ive had alot going on, illustration jobs and whatnot. yesterday i had the worst headache of my life, and literally got nothing done, i fell asleep at 6 pm, woke up at 1 am and stayed up until now, to catch up on pages. haha, its crazy, im not on a deadline, but i have to do it. i have to get it done, this one will not take 4 years, im hoping to get it done in 2 at the most, and thinking the story will be about 600 pages. nuts. i havent done that real math yet... its prolly not possible buuuuut, its what im going for.
today my back is DESTROYED, i have to go to the doctor, i need to figure out how to not have this happen, i tried re adjusting my desk a few times, doesnt change much, i still have to lean over to draw. sometimes 16 hours a day. if anyone has any advice, email me. ok. im going to go layflat and watch a movie. another day off tomorrow, another page.

hey hey

so i just reconnected with an awesome guy i met at the NYCC, he has mentioned me on his blog, everyone should go check out his most recent post. he even put a picture of me up signing books! pretty awesome.

his name is lee french, and he had to borrow money from his friends to buy my books and a page from the collective... they made him call them both big daddy.

it has begun

last weekend i was showing off my stuff all weekend at the NYCOMICCON. it was amazing. this weekend is just as amazing. my boss went to NY in my place (literally he is at the javitz center for TOYFAIR, we invent and design toys ) so ive had a nice long weekend, the perfect oppurtunity to start drawing my new book. i have been figuring out the story details, and characters looks for almost a year now, and i took this weekend to actually begin drawing it. ive got the first three pages all laid out, and here is the first of many. youll notice panel one is a "shout out" to the cover of NATHAN THE CAVEMAN. a transition from one book to the next. (this is not a sequel, haha.) so here it is.
