just spent my morning playing with the toys, watching the show, and researching the company, MAN OF ACTION, that created my favorite cartoon, BEN10. its just awesome. the idea is brilliant, a ten year old boy on a summer RV vacation with his grandpa max and annoying cousin gwen, stumbles upon the most advanced alien weapon, the OMNITRIX, a watch that jumps onto his wrist, instantly fuses with his own DNA and grants him the ability to cycle through (at first) 10 different alien beings that BEN uses to become a super hero. through all the amazing concept and creature adventures the story is fantastic, what would a 10 year old boy do if he had super powers? anyway, i want to work for MAN OF ACTION, the company that created it, so i was just messing around and sketching some BEN10 this morning, heres one, http://bishart.net/image.php?id=84

some exciting stuff in the near future for BEN10, his sequel show BEN10 ALIEN FORCE is debuting on april 18th with an hour long episode which now takes place 5 years after the end of season 3. BEN is now 15 years old, and teaming with his cousin again, and former villian KEVIN11 (levin) to rescue grandpa max who went missing after investigating alien activity of a group called the HIGHBREED who wants to cleanse the galaxy of lesser beings and earth is next on their agenda.

what else is newwww? i made tacos last night, they were awesome, and drank some wine and watched TRANSFORMERS again, that movie is so awesome, i dont care what people think, i just want to yell it from a roof top, i could watch it a million times, and i'm already three quarters of the way to that goal. anyway, maybe ill draw something today after work while the book is uploading to lulu and post it on here. maybe. have a great day. listen to our last night.

so heres how it went down.... i was hanging out with my friends will, dave and ross, expecting the books sometime last wed. when they didnt arrive, i realized id spent one hundred dollars for next day delivery, but read it wrong and they would not actually arrive until thursday...but when....? so after a bog breakfast at big mamas, and my friends were getting ready to leave, i thought, hey, lets go see if they were sent yet to javanet where i work, so that my friends could see them before they left maine. the books were not there. but a little ways up the street, next to starbucks, was a big brown ups truck. i ran up the street, and stalked the ups guy until he came out of a delivery, and kindly asked him if my box was on his truck, it was, he asked me to wait while he finished delivering a few things on the street, and then he would walk my up and grab it out of his truck. so i did, i followed him around like a creep until we all literally ran up the street chasing him to his truck. the box was beautiful, for a cardboard box, i quickly nabbed it from the man, and will whipped out his shiv, and sliced her right open on top of a trashcan outside of starbucks. there on exchange st. where ive worked hard pouring coffee and talking about this project since 2004, i saw the first glimpse of the real thing, and it looked amazing. really great, and we were all floored, especially the ups guy, "you did all this? im fucking floored guy...wow."

so i just thought i would keep everyone posted. i got my weekend pass for the ny comiccon in the mail the other day, and cant wait. the first order for books HAS been made, and SHOULD be arriving shortly... HOPEFULLY they will be here in time for the ny comiccon, which is in 11 days, yikes.also my pet turtle is getting very big.

i am NOT missing this deadline, losing nights, and friends, and girlfriends to get the book done on time, paying a hundred dollars to get the books shipped on time, going to kinkos and literally putting both my bank accounts into the negative, running out of staples... i am NOT missing this grant deadline of march 31st. this is happening, im mailing it out tomorrow, i don't know HOW, because i have no money for shipping.... but it's going out, so wish me luck. :)March 21, 2008

stayed up late tonight working on a fun piece for the childrens book people, it has come in many different colors, but even though i painted the whole thing with lots of vibrant fun colors, i thought the darker style with stand out red hair looked the best, at least for the site. so, had a little fun. first thumbnail, little maria and grand chancellor birdsworth. weird. maria likes birds.March 18, 2008
